Hello my gluten-free readers,

My name is Susane, and this is my first time as a blogger.

I was recently diagnosed with Gluten Sensitivity, and I had no idea how gluten was a great part of my diet.

In the last 5 months, I’ve been educating myself on how gluten can affect one’s health.  When you are just sensitive to gluten, the effects on your body are not as clear as when you are intolerant or allergic. In the long-term, gluten can cause recurring problems that can or not be associated with the gastrointestinal tract, and that’s what makes diagnosing this disorder harder. For example, the symptoms can vary from headaches, childhood short stature to unexplained infertility or fetal loss.

Eliminating gluten from my diet was not easy. It’s overwhelming the list of products that contain gluten, even body lotion may have it. However, I was very determined to follow a strict diet because my health was more important to me than a delicious piece of bread. Now, I even enjoy searching for good gluten-free products and restaurants. Actually, I have always enjoyed reading about health and learning about how food can benefit or harm us. I also love to cook and try out new recipes.

The idea of writing this blog came from my sister, who believes that I’m a great cook and I should share my passion. However, the main purpose of my blog is to gather delicious GLUTEN-FREE recipes for people like me that are searching for a great recipe of fluffy GF cake or amazing GF pasta.

I will cook all the recipes that I post, and they will be evaluated by the toughest critics, my family.
